What to put on your invoice

  1. Your business name and contact details, plus your client's billing details.
  2. A unique invoice number, issue date and agreed due date.
  3. Specific descriptions of the services supplied, quantities and rates.
  4. The currency, any agreed discount, applicable tax and final amount due.
  5. Payment instructions and a short reference your client can use.

Tax and mandatory invoice details vary by location and business status. Check the requirements that apply to you; this example is a layout guide, not tax advice.
